My Testimony in Jesus Christ
God has been calling me from and early age, he has been quite persistant and continues to draw me closer every day! So pleas enjoy the story of my walk with God so far! New Here?Called From An Early Age
God has had his eye on me from the beginning!
From the earliest age that I can remember I was terrorized by demons, both in dreams and in reality. They came after me non-stop, seeking to use fear to keep me in subjection to their wishes. Thankfully though, God had other plans and at the age of 12, he showed me how to fight back in the spiritual realm through the power of the name of Jesus Christ! This was just one of the ways God started preparing me for the journey ahead, I would not consider myself “saved” at that point but I was certainly aware of God and saw that he cared for me!
The Turning Point
At the age of 14, I put God to his greatest challenge yet, I tried to run away from him and my life which he was preparing me for. Yet, by his grace, he picked me up and brought me back! God said “I want you to serve me Robert!” and at first I resisted, or tried to conform my existing sinful life to the image of Jesus Christ. Along the way I studied the Bible extensively, cover to cover, trying to find the truth in the scripture, then one fateful day a dear brother asked the question that changed my life, “Is Jesus God”? That shattered my world, as I searched in vain to prove through the scripture my belief in the trinity.
And then, as I realized that my wisdom was foolishness to God, I finally surrendered to the truth of the scripture, and was baptized in the name of Jesus for the Remission of Sins, and received the gift of the Holy Ghost!
My Current Beliefs
My daily life leads me to search the scriptures and find the truth, and as I do I receive from God through the Holy Ghost revelations through his scripture! Below are my current beliefs, but as I grow they may change, but always according to scripture!
Jesus Christ The Son of God
Jesus Christ is the only begotten son of the Father in heaven, he came to us in the flesh as a man, the physical image of the Word Of God, and having paid the ultimate price for our sins is seated on the right hand of God the Father in heaven!
Baptism
You must be baptized in the name of Jesus the Son of God for the remission of sins, for there is no other name under heaven by which men must be saved! Any other baptism in any other name is just a dunk under the water.
Charity
The most important gift of all is Charity, the ultimate putting off of self and loving our neighbor as ourselves! Not expecting any return, not for the vainglory of a showing among men. We must practice this in our daily lives to fulfill the will of God!
Salvation
This life is the journey by which we receive the atonement, that on the great and terrible day of the Lord we can stand before him with the blood of the Lamb upon us, having our sins washed away, Jesus has given us that Salvation from the wrath of God.
“11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.”
